Maa Vaishno Devi Package (By Road) Itinerary
After arriving at Jammu airport or railway station, meet our representative who arranges a smooth transfer for you to Katra. On reaching Katra, check-in at one our listed hotel to relax in the cozy comforts of its room. After straightening your backs for a while start trekking towards the divine Vaishno Devi Shrine. The 15 kms trek to Vaishno Devi takes around 5 to 6 hours to arrive at the cave temple. On the way there several eateries where one can enjoy sumptuous delicacies. After reaching temple join the bee-queue to go inside the Darbar. The cave temple houses three pindies symbolizing three forms of Goddess Shakti: Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Kali and Goddess Sarswati. Once inside the cave, have Darshan. If you wish you may also buy the Prasad being sold by the vaisnodevi shrine shop.
Next morning begin your day descending towards Katra. It will approximately take 4 to 5 hours to reach back. The rest of the day is free for the leisure activities. Enjoy a lavish dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Jammu airport/railway station and board a flight/train for your onward destination.

- Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
- There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
- Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in
- Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same

- Cancellation Policy:
- In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
- 60 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour / service cost
- 15 days prior to arrival: 35% of the Tour / service cost
- 07 days prior to arrival: 80% of the Tour / service cost
- 72 hours prior to arrival OR No Show: No Refund
- Our Liabilities & Limitations:
- Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
- Payments:
- For the services contracted, 30% advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount can be paid at least 15 days prior to your date of departure from your country. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services. Apart from the above in some cases like special Flight train journeys, hotel or resort bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year) full payment is required to be sent in advance
FAQs
The distance between Katra and Vaishno Devi is about 14 kms. It is a trek or a mountain and people have to climb up the mountain to reach Vaishno Devi Temple. Pony or horses are available for people who are not able to cover the journey. Palkis are available for the elderly who are not able to take a horse ride.
Helicopter bookings can be done online and they open 60 days in advance from the date of travel. Every day after 10 A.M you can try to book your seats. Bookings are accepted at a minimum of 4 days in advance from the date of the journey.
VIP pass for darshan is available and can be availed through advance booking. Bookings can be done from the Shrine board website of Mata Vaishno Devi. Getting a VIP darshan at the Vaishno Devi Temple is not a big deal.
No, prepaid connections won't work in Katra. Only prepaid connections that are bought in Kashmir itself work or postpaid connections of any part of the country work in Jammu and Kashmir.
All postpaid sim cards work in Jammu and Kashmir. However, connections of BSNL and Airtel works best. Great network coverage is available for the connections mentioned above.
